Susan is a person used to natural beauty – she grew up in Bay Village, right next to Lake Erie in Ohio. So it took an exceptional city to draw her to Europe. ‘Prague’, she tells us, ‘is magical’.
Not that she is unused to traveling. Having worked as a sales representative in the Cleveland area for a long time, she moved to the South, to Memphis, Tennessee, where she became a Benefits Analyst. Susan also studied one summer at Oxford University – ‘it was here,’ she tells us, ‘that I learned to really appreciate Europe.’
She came to Prague in 2002. A friend was transferred there and Susan decided to come along (bringing also her two dogs) for the adventure.
‘There is so much to experience here,’ she says. ‘The architecture is stunning and you feel as though you have stepped back in time. In fact, I have just signed up for a photography class, as there is so much to shoot here. I have been the “unofficial” tour guide for any family, friends or business acquaintances that come to visit and have taken Czech lessons.’
