Meet Catherine

YourGuide Destination Consultant

As a native Canadian, it's natural for Catherine to be an outdoors type. She loves nothing better than to take to the seas around Hong Kong, where she races competitively in a women's dragon boat team. She has even won trophies for the sport.

'Getting involved is the key to feeling at home in Hong Kong,' she explains. 'It is such a different culture from what Westerners are used to - incredibly crowded, colourful, full of strange foods and odours. But once you're active, Hong Kong is fantastic.'

Catherine originally graduated as an environmental manager, but her career path has been versatile. She moved into an environmental role with an injection moulding company, but on relocating with her husband to Hong Kong in 1997, she has found herself working at everything from Greenpeace volunteer to destination consultancy. She also has international qualifications to teach English as a second language, obtained from the British Council and Cambridge University.

It is as a highly professional destination consultant that she will be pleased to assist you in Hong Kong, helping you to overcome the challenge of your move to Asia's economic dynamo.
