Bernard is an expatriate in reverse. He was born and educated in Germany, which still remains his base after wide travels and several relocations. Bernard was a musician-entertainer for many years, touring in the US, Europe and Australia. He has also spent many years organizing tours for musicians and orchestras. A true citizen of the world.
He has made Frankfurt his home since 1996 (after three years in Kingston, New York). ‘It’s an ideal location,’ he tells us, ‘the very center of Europe, with global air links and a multinational population.’ Bernard has worked personally with many leading conductors and soloists, so understands the demanding needs of busy people.
‘There is some beautiful housing in Frankfurt,’ he says, ‘but you have to know how to search for it. And since it’s not unusual to have to supply anything from your own light fittings to wardrobes, it helps to have an aide who can negotiate with landlords and help get your apartment ready for habitation.’ This is just one of the many forms of assistance that Bernard can offer on your relocation to Germany.
