Dublin Destination Consultant
Adrienne is based in the small town of Swords, close to Dublin Airport, which is appropriate for someone with so much international experience. She has worked for two of the world’s largest companies – Coca Cola and Proctor & Gamble, so proximity to the airport has always been useful.
She has been through a series of roles with these multinational giants – from materials and planning manager to customer relationship manager. She has also worked in the plastics industry, as a supply chain manager. Since 2007, she has taken a different direction, moving from production based companies to more human development roles. She has led a steering group for a Dublin-wide initiative to improve women’s skills in the workplace, and welcomed the opportunity to join Going-there in supporting professionals who relocate to Dublin.
‘Dublin is a friendly place, but it can occasionally give the newcomer a culture shock,’ she tells us. ‘Finding a place to stay can be tricky: the city is very spread out, and you have to take all sorts of local factors into consideration, such as the weight of traffic or nearness to public transport lines.’ Adrienne’s expert local knowledge is just what is needed for the newcomer.
