Calgary Destination Consultant
Polish-born Kasia has lived in Canada for over 14 years - that is, for much of her adult life.
Before becoming a destination consultant, she worked primarily as a make-up artist. She has over 30,000 hours of project time under her belt for national and local television. She has worked with many celebrities, athletes, politicians, authors, environmentalists, government officials and musicians, preparing them for the screen. Latterly, she managed the CBC make-up department and trained new artists coming through in on-screen styling and wardrobe.
Kasia loves Calgary. 'I overcame cultural and language barriers and adapted to new work and living environments very quickly,' she tells us. 'But then, I was was young, when it's easiest to adapt. It can be far more difficult when transferring countries mid-career or with a family.'
She looks forward to helping others make the transition.
