Astrid, has a wealth of experience – over twenty years encompassing roles in the hospitality & service Industry, administration, customer relations, client services, marketing & business management. For ten years she founded and ran her own beauty salon in Damman, Saudi Arabia, before relocating to her native India and settling in Bangalore.
After nearly two decades in Bangalore, she is well aware of the startling pace of development and change in India’s ‘silicon city’. ‘There are all sorts of pitfalls and challenges when moving here,’ she reports, ‘from the almost daily-changing housing prices to all the hidden drawbacks newcomers will not be aware of, - for instance, buying a house in a certain district may add hugely to her journey as opposed to a neighboring district because of the road and traffic lay-out.’
